Is Intel Core I5 3470 Good For 1080p Gaming?
Since this CPU is a little bit older, a lot of people expect it to be very bad for gaming. Of course, if you want to play AAA games at the better framerates, Intel I5 3470 isn’t for you, but if you are a casual gamer that will most play E-Sport titles like CSGO, Rocket League, Dota, LoL, Valorant, Rainbow Six Siege, this processor can make your experience good for the cheap price you will pay for it.
As you can see in the table below, I paired Intel I5 3470 with the Nvidia GTX 1050 Ti and tested them together in the 7 popular games. As expected, in some of them, these two didn’t perform that well, considering that I tested them in some AAA games which are harder to run.
You may notice, that only 2 games out of 7 averaged more than 60 fps, which tells us that this CPU is getting weaker as time passes, but the Nvidia GTX 1050 Ti is also not the best GPU for high fps gaming.
