1. How Much Does a Gaming Pc Weigh? – Pounds and Kilograms
The weight of a gaming computer can go from 20 – 40 pounds (9 kg – 18 kg). Although this depends on what case and components we use, in most cases the average gaming PC (with the graphics card) is around 31 pounds (14 kg).
As you can see in the table below, the PCs that weigh more are the ones that have the strongest components overall.
They have the heaviest graphics card, case, power supply, etc…
Although the Brand computers can be very good, they are made as low power consumption, light systems. This Brand Gaming Pc is only 21 pounds (9.5 kg) heavy although it has better parts than some of the computers above it on the list.

3. Calculate The Weight Of Your PC
Considering that the weight of the computers can be different for everyone, we can’t tell the exact weight of your PC if we don’t know what components you have.
But don’t worry, you can calculate the weight based on the info below and get the close number you are looking for.
Have in mind that the calculated result cant be perfect if you actually don’t measure your PC by yourself.
How Much Does A Processor Weigh?
On Average, the processor weighs around 2.1 ounces or 59.5 grams, but the weight can range between 1.5 ounces – 3 ounces (42 grams – 85 grams). As time passes, newer processors are lighter than older ones but the difference isn’t that big.
To show you the best examples, I made a table that shows the weight of the newest processor and some older ones. As you can see, the older Intel processors are likely to be heavier than recent Ryzen and Intel CPUs.
Processor | Name | Weight in ounces | Weight in grams |
---|---|---|---|
Intel Core i5-2500 | 3.04 ounces | 85.04 grams | |
Intel Core I5 6600k | 2.4 ounces | 68.03 grams | |

Intel Core I7 9700k | 1.59 ounces | 45.07 grams |
How Much Does A Graphics Card Weigh?
Although the weight of a graphics card depends on the number of fans, manufacturer, material, etc, the average weight of a GPU can range from 7 ounces to 3.2 pounds (200 grams – 1.5 kilograms)
As I said, the weight of the GPU depends on a few aspects.
In most cases, the stronger GPU is heavier, because often it contains more Fans, better quality, and heavier material… But that isn’t always the case.
To get things easier I will make a table of a few recent and a few older graphics cards so you can compare them. You can see that lowe profile GPU like GT 1030 is much lighter than high-end GPUs. The RTX 2060 is the heavier one on this example list because it has 3 fans.
Graphics Card | Name | Weight in pounds and ounces | Weight in grams and kilograms |
---|---|---|---|
GeForce RTX 2060 iCraft 6GB | 3.16 pounds | 1.4 kilograms | |
MSI Gaming Radeon RX 5500 XT | 2.5 pounds | 1.13 kilograms | |

How Much Does RAM Weigh?
The weight of random access memory (RAM) can range from 1 ounce to 4.5 ounces (28.3 grams – 127.5 grams) and it mostly depends on the material, heatsink, and manufacturer.
In the table below, you can see the weight of a different brand’s memory.
The main reason why the difference is that big between newer – more expensive memory and older ddr3 memory is the RGB strip, heatsink, and material.
Back in the day, it didn’t matter if every component in the PC is Rgb, but luckily we have that luxury.
