How well is Gtx 1660 for gaming in 2023?
It is well known that Gtx 1660 is good enough for most games in 1080p resolutions even on High graphics settings.
To make sure that is true even 3 years after its release, I tested this GPU in 10 games in both 1080p and 1440p and I have results.
Gtx 1660 and Ryzen 5 3600 in 1080p – Test in Games
Results in 1080p are great as expected from Gtx 1660. You can see that most games that I tested in 1080p were on Ultra settings, and fps is still higher than 60 fps.
Of course, if you have Monitor with a higher refresh rate, you can lower your settings and achieve 100+ fps in most games.
I need to mention that in 1080p resolution, your performance depends on the CPU that you use as well, so pairing Gtx 1660 with a decent one will help a lot.

Gtx 1660 and Ryzen 5 3600 in 1440p – Test in Games
As you can see in the table below, Nvidia Gtx 1660 paired with Ryzen 5 3600 is great in 1440p.
Personally, I didn’t expect this card to be this good in 2k considering that everyone is just talking about 1080p.
Although you won’t get competitive fps in 1440p (most competitive players use lower resolution either way), this GPU will still manage to get past 60+ fps in 90% of the games.
Sometimes you will need to lower your graphics settings in order to achieve that, but that is expected from GPU that is made for 1080p.
