Overall, i7 7700 is weaker than intel i7 7700k as you can see in the game tests that I did below.
On the launch day, i7 7700 was around 30 dollars cheaper than his k version sibling and most people recommended saving a little bit more cash and going with the k version instead.
Although the I7 7700 is weaker than i7 7700k, it can run most games in 2023 with ease when paired with a good GPU.
