Buying a new Graphics Card isn’t an easy choice. The RX 570 4GB is a mid-range graphics card from the Radeon RX 500 series manufactured by AMD which was released back in April 2017.

Today we look at and test this graphics card in our revisit series and see how it can perform in 2023 with some of the latest games as its now more affordable and considered a midrange option when it comes to gaming on a budget.

We will discuss the RX 570 4GB in detail, including its specifications, performance, and overall value for gamers on a budget.

Is AMD RX 570 4GB Still Good For Gaming?

Yes, the AMD RX 570 4GB is still a good graphics card for gaming, especially for those on a budget. Although it’s more than 6 years old It can handle most modern games at 1080p resolution with decent FPS rates, and it’s a great choice for entry to mid level gaming PCs.

The RX 570 4GB can provide smooth and immersive gaming experiences, even in games that are more demanding in terms of graphics and processing power. Its 4GB of VRAM is still sufficient for most games, and it supports features like AMD’s FreeSync technology for smoother gameplay

Performance: is the rx 570 still good for gaming

In terms of performance, the RX 570 4GB can handle most modern games at 1080p resolution with decent FPS rates. It can achieve 60 FPS or more in games like Fortnite, Apex Legends, and Overwatch. In more demanding games like Assassin’s Creed Odyssey and Warzone 2, the RX 570 4GB can still provide playable FPS rates, but with some settings adjusted and turned down.

The main category almost everyone is looking for when it comes to graphics cards is gaming itself. In the table below, you will be able to see how well this graphics card is in 1080p gaming since I paired this RX 570 with a powerful Intel Core I5 11600k in order to get the most out of this GPU.

I tested these two in 8 different popular games, so you can have a clear image of the performance.

As you can see in the table, 6 out of 8 games averaged more than 60 fps, which is very good results if you ask me.

Only AC Valhalla and Red Dead Redemption 2 averaged under 60 fps, but considering that they are hard-to-run games it’s not surprising. Although the average fps was under 60, the overall experience was very good.

specs: AMD RX 570 4GB, Intel Core I5 11600k, 16GB RAM, 1TB SSD AVERAGE FPS 1% LOW FPS
Rainbow Six Siege (Ultra settings - 1080p) 147 fps 129 fps

About AMD Rx 570 4Gb In 2023

When the AMD RX 570 was released on April 18, 2017 it looked like an updated version of the RX 470 that came out a year before. It was based on the same 5.7 billion transistors Ellesmere GPU and it had the most specifications similar to Rx 470.

Although it’s 6 years old, This GPU is still holding up against modern titles. Maybe it cant run everything on Ultra in 1080p, but when paired with a good processor and ram this graphics card will satisfy those wanting to build there new machine on a budget.

rx 570 4gb & 8gb equivalent in 2023

Due to the age of the RX 570 they seem to be harder to get hold of brand new these days and might be out of stock, If you are like me and you consider it better to buy new when it comes to PC Parts (Especially in this case where the card is over 6 years old) you might want to seek a good alternative or an equivalent that is more readily available.

The best alternative at a similar budget to the RX 570 is in my view is a much newer AMD 6600, It has a higher core count, more video memory, and supports newer technologies like hardware ray tracing and variable rate shading

The RX 6600 also delivers significantly better performance in games, especially at higher resolutions and with more demanding settings, it might cost a little extra but if the 570 is out of stock given the graphics boost it would give at a similar budget its very much worth your consideration.

Best AMD Alternative RX 6600:

Now dare I say it or even say it! AMD fans if you are willing to look the other way for an alternative then for this budget look no further than the Nvidia GTX 1650 Super or the GTX 1660. These graphics cards offer similar performance to the RX 570 and are also more power-efficient which is always a bonus considering the price of energy these dark old days!

With What Components Should I Pair AMD RX 570 4GB?

If you want to buy AMD RX 570 4GB but you don’t know which processor, motherboard, or RAM to use in order to get the most out of this graphics card in 2023, I will make a list of components that you should consider when building your new machine.

The options I have listed below are examples of what will make a great gaming PC with this graphics card on a budget.

Which Budget Processor Should you pair It With

Why This Processor?

Ryzen 5 5600 is one of the best budget processors in 2023 making it a popular choice for those looking for a high-performance CPU without breaking the bank.

It delivers exceptional single-core and multi-core performance, making it an excellent choice for gaming and the perfect match for the RX 570 or any of the alternatives mentioned above if your unable to pick one up.

The Ryzen 5 5600 has a relatively low power consumption, which can help keep your energy bills down. Overall, the Ryzen 5 5600 provides an exceptional balance of performance and value, making it a great choice for those looking to build a high-performance PC with this graphics card on a budget.

Which Motherboard Should You Pair With AMD RX 570?

Why This Motherboard?

The MSI MAG B550 Tomahawk is an excellent budget motherboard that pairs well with the Ryzen 5 5600. It offers a range of features and capabilities that make it an excellent choice for those looking to build a high-performance system on a budget for this processor and the RX 570 combined.

One of the key advantages of the MSI MAG B550 Tomahawk is its support for PCIe 4.0, which provides faster data transfer speeds and improved performance compared to earlier versions of PCIe. This is particularly important when using a high-performance CPU like the Ryzen 5 5600, which can take full advantage of the increased bandwidth.

Which RAM Should You Pair With AMD RX 570 4GB?

Why this Ram?

When it comes to pairing RAM with the AMD RX 570 4GB, the most important thing to consider is the RAM’s speed and capacity. For this graphics card, a minimum of 8GB of RAM is recommended, but if you can stretch your budget a 16GB kit is ideal for running modern games and applications and its what I always go with as 8GB is limiting.

Conclusion:

In conclusion, the AMD RX 570 is an excellent graphics card that offers great value for its price. It is capable of delivering smooth and consistent performance, even when playing the latest games however be prepared to drop the graphics settings down for the best performance, With its impressive specifications and features, the RX 570 4GB is a great choice for gamers who want to start a budget system without breaking the bank.

Furthermore, the card’s low power consumption and support for modern technologies such as DirectX 12 and Vulkan make it future-proof and versatile. Overall, the AMD RX 570 4GB is a high-quality graphics card that is definitely worth considering for any serious gamer or PC enthusiast.

However due to the age of the card it is difficult to get hold of a new one in 2023, its not impossible so keep checking the link above or consider one of the other options I have recommended.
